BALLYCLARE & DISTRICT & DOAGH & DISTRICT H.P.S. PRESENTATION NIGHT 2025
Ballyclare & District & Doagh & District H.P.S. had their annual joint annual Dinner & Prizegiving on Friday the 2nd of January in McConnell’s of Doagh. The Members accompanied by friends and family gathered to celebrate their many achievements in what was another enjoyable season for all. Mr Jim McCullough Vice chairman of Doagh was speaker and got the evening underway by welcoming everyone to the annual prizegiving thanking all those who helped making it possible and the very best of congratulations to all in 2025 Season. Also introducing the distinguished guests of the evening Davy McElhone and Maddie McElhone of Eastway who are first class flyers. Afterwards McConnell’s provided a beautiful 3 course meal with the selection of Vegetable Soup or Garlic Mushrooms. Roast Beef or Turkey & Ham or Sirloin Steak Dinner and Pavlova or Apple Pie & Custard for Desert along with Tea/Coffee. The Meal was enjoyed by all and next the Presentation of Awards got underway with Arnold Thompson Superb fancier and newly crowned NIPA Plougastel OB National Winner 2025 to present Doagh & District Prizes & Davy & Maddie McElhone Open and multi award winning fanciers in 2025 presenting Ballyclare & Districts Prizes.

Boyd Cup – Most Points Selected Races. Comrades Social Cup – Average Dale & Dunmanway. Y.B. Magill Cup – Dale Y.B. National. And in the N.I.P.A. where 1st Open Winners from Benamore YB winning the J.P. O’Hagan Tyres Cup.

Derby Cup – Cross Channel OB National. A. Agnew Trophy – Highest NIPA Open Velocity. The Mairs Trophy – Best velocity Kings Cup locally. And in the N.I.P.A. Won the Plougastel OB National. And the Section C Plougastel Trophy. Alos the joint winner of the 251-450 Miles Irish Region Mileage award.

Top Prize Winners 2025 in Doagh & District where Mr&Mrs McNeilly. The Husband & Wife racing partnership had a successful season winning a total of 10x1sts. £216.50 in prizemoney and winning 11 trophies in the club. List as follows.
