NIPA TAKE ON CLOUGHMARTIN

 Now onto the fourth youngbird race of the 2025 N.I.P.A. Youngbird season. This week we were still in the County of Tipperary at a different race point in Cloughmartin. A Total of 437 members of the N.I.P.A. sent a total of 13,836 Birds to Cloughmartin a day later than scheduled due to unfavourable weather for release. On Sunday morning the 10^th of August the N.I.P.A. Liberated in Cloughmartin at 7:45AM in a Light South West wind.

The Winner of Section C (81/2,326) from Cloughmartin was Bingham & Seaton & Dowie of Ligoniel & District H.P.S. The successful racing partnership adds a win to their season in Ligoniel & District (408 Birds) and also get a top result in Winning Section C (2,326 Birds) and claimed a top podium position in 2^nd N.I.P.A. Open (13,836 Birds)

The Winner of Section D (53/1,952) from Cloughmartin was O&M Monaghan of Colin H.P.S. A great day at the races winning 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd Prizes in Colin H.P.S.(199 Birds) The Monaghan’s had a great performance in Winning 1^st Section D and taking 3^rd & 4^th Section positions also (1,952 Birds) and overall In the N.I.P.A. Open Won 17^th, 34^th & 36^th  Open prizes from Cloughmartin (13,836 Birds). The Section D Winning pigeon GB25 C 31324 is of Van Reet/Sootjen breeding. Sire of the winning hen is actually a 12 year old cock and ex racer now in their stock loft. Was a very good racer himself winning many prizes including 2nd ulster fed. He has bred many winners and prize winners from France and Penzance YB national. Dam of the hen is a daughter of one of their best race cocks who was also retired to stock. This cock had approximately 20 open, fed and section positions including 3 club wins and has bred winners and an ulster fed winner too.
