NORTH LIVERPOOL FED
NEWS FROM DARREN SMITH
Riverside FC 2013 Presentation
Hello folks,
Wendy Muirhead sends over details of the Riverside FC annual prize presentation which was held at the Star of the Sea club on Saturday 23rd November. There was a good representation of North Liverpool Fed and Liverpool Amal members on the night, all keen to congratulate the men and women of this great club for their achievements during the 2013 season.
Guests of Honour were none other than Steven Goulding and wife Barbara. Steven needs no introduction to our local following, but for those perhaps not familiar with the racing scene here in Liverpool, he is a pigeon man who has been at the top of his game for well over a decade. The evening started with a lovely 4 course meal which went down very well followed by a music set from the fantastic Alex Devine and a DJ / Karaoke set from Mark Rimmer.
Premier Prize Winners and defending top perch for another season are the partnership of Graham & Wendy Muirhead and son Connor with 8x1st, 9x2nd, 9x3rd, 5x4th, 6x5th, 6x6th, pool and prize money totalling £607.75 and 162 points. The Muirhead team also take home the Old bird Points Cup, Old Bird Averages, Old Bird KO, Young Bird KO, Bird of the Year Inland, Pontoon Cup, Ray White Memorial Cup, Micky Gibbs Rememberance Cup. Congratulations Graham, Wendy & Connor, top drawer.
