Proven Benefits Of BICC Northern Expansion
It is expected and remarkable to time birds up to and over 400 miles on the day in April. This gives further credibility to more northerly marking stations especially in the North West. I perceive it could be a fact of the future, and I promote more membership expansion in Ireland and towards Scotland. The ideal would be birds at over 7/800 miles in UK/Ireland Internationals-this will cause a sensation from the Midlands and the North. The key is organisation/management/flair/skill and genius with some good birds of mixed origins. Have a look on the Falaise result to see all the good birds over 300 miles - praise to them all. The BICC is unique to offer a race over 400 miles in the UK in April-a creative and innovative step in the right direction. I hope the people in the south of England realise the quality of birds and fanciers and the sheer distances imposed on their birds, further north - who is the best is debated often. I look forward to more creative insights, thinking and provision by the organisational people involved.Jim Emerton
