UK and Ireland will be lucky to enter 450 birds at Barcelona International-the world’s great race for marathon men and birds. Expect many of the old stalwart fanciers to time, with a few new kids on the block. In the total sphere of the pigeon sport, politics and human emotions will surge through the popular consciousness.
As normal, we will struggle to get inside the top 50 International at Barce.
Fanciers will wonder and puzzle over navigation, young bird sicknesses and losses in racing due to different reasons.
Consider liquid feeding as extra to solid feeding, the spiritual aspects of racing, the commercialism, strain making, and the value of new WONDER birds in relation to the practical aspects of the sport.
The BICC will cement its place in the pantheon of pigeon racing.
