PERSONAL INSIGHT INTO ASTROLOGY.
As people we are under certain influences from the cosmos, especially the world that we encounter in our lives. This may include impacts on the senses and the inner psyche of an objective, psychological and spiritual nature. These elements react with the brain and any hereditary influence on the individual ,to produce the type of individual personality within the life cycle or evolution of the person on planet earth. Astrology appears to depend upon human belief and elements of mysticism and acts on the psyche, wonder and needs of individuals, where it may stimulate minds like a religion. It may have some empirical validity, yet my intuition tells me that it is a system that represents ,just another aspect of human consciousness. It may empower some people who believe in it, yet I can maintain my integrity without it, as human needs are projected into hypothetical aspects of the physical universe. APPEARANCE AND REALITY.
We react to parts of the external world, with our mind and senses ,we think. Is what I think I see the same as what you see and experience? I sit the true nature of external reality, when delusion and illusion may play their part? If we can conclude that we are different as people, then what is the nature of objective reality, and assuming that the world or cosmos does exist beyond our subjective experience. This is simple and easy for me as I accept my personal consciousness to be true and real ,both at the rational level, fantasy and imagination levels. I tell the truth as a poet, philosopher and author. I do know that the entire knowledge of humanity is a shallow ripple on the cosmic ocean ,as the human being is a blunt instrument-I know nothing in an absolute sense . THE SELF.
The physical and non-physical elements or total being of a human, could be regarded as the self, assuming that self exists. My mind and consciousness, being rational, emotional and spiritual in all its complexity, I refer to as the inner self. After due introspection, my essence is a pure feeling inside the head. The inner self, I feel is generated by the brain /external world relationship, and includes the dream world and the deepest and darkest layers of the inner psyche. After analysis the non verbal inner man is invisible from the outside is it not.? Discussing concepts like self, seems very human ,as perhaps we use the self to do so!! Jim Emerton.

THE RISE OF THE INDIVIDUALIST.
In politics and many areas of society ,the egocentric individual is rising to the surface in the media and consciousness of the day. Minority groups, eccentrics and extremists are having an impact in the media, along with other attention-seeking individualists. Naive loyalty in the establishment is eroding as people are waking up, and becoming shrewd and aware to the realities and essential nature of others. Behind role play and masking, I believe that most people are self serving ,instinctual and survivalists. It has been convention and the mainstream that has supressed many people in the past. The reality is, that along with talented egos comes change, and my stance is to maintain the integrity of your personal beliefs and principles if you hold them dear. With central politics voiced by the power elite, there remains a distinct lack of truth, within a sea of lies and propaganda. Jim Emerton.

LEGEND/ICON/MYTH/GENIUS.
In the mainstream, popular consciousness, these are common ,descriptive labels of people. They give some value as superlatives, yet are human based as a reflection of the mood ,psyche of the user, in relation to a talented or famous person who is highly esteemed. As an author it is nice to receive these personal accolades, yet I sprinkle the salt of earthy reality on them all. This action adds balance and perspective to the mind. Wise to be a little reserved and detached from the responses of others, or the ego-trip may be grandiose and deluded. I like the philosophy of head in the clouds and feet on the ground as a life principle.

THE HUMAN BEING IN PIGEON RACING.
In many respects I put people before pigeons! The global sport is crying out for the humanitarian approach to cure the ills of jealousy and negativity that ruin it for genuine sportsmen. Racing pigeons owe their roots to man-the human personality. We care for them, house them and race them for sporting pleasure. I would like to see a sporting code of ethics, morals and standards of behaviour for all to take notice of. We need to take a critical look at our attitudes, psychology and behaviour towards the winner and the essence of winning races There are gentlemen within the sport ,who need to be applauded and encouraged as role models for others to emulate. Ask yourself the question-What has been my overall contribution to the collective good and welfare of the sport. Ironically, a way to achieve this higher plane of being is to target a racepoint rather than a person. May I suggest you take a purist approach and try and crack Barcelona? There lies the potential for power, money, esteem, success and great birds! Yes you can experience the sport, on a very high level in your head, by making steps towards positive thoughts and emotions-now there is a challenge.
