Northern Expansion of The B.I.C.C.

If there is a will and desire from the Midlands /Yorkshire and the North of England into Scotland to join and race with the BICC then it can be done. There are able men/women and specialists who could aspire to this type of level of racing. I managed Barcelona International to Holtby-879 miles 21 years ago. There are practical issues to resolve, such as the organisation and manning of suitable marking stations and officials.

 

It can be done, and the rewards can be great to time birds at great distances, which are doable with skill and dedication. It will be a great testing ground for all those Barcelona bloodlines that are changing hands. The key is human leadership, organisation and bold fanciers who need the challenge of racing at a very high level of competition. The committee are well organised and devoted to the continued good name of the BICC and producing great birds on the National/International stage. Please see the BICC website. 

 

The ethos and philosophy of the club is in the real provision of the finest racing available for the whole of the UK and Ireland. The corollary of my thesis is that racing at this level will sort out your birds into those of real quality. I suggest that you meet and discuss the prospects, logistics and possibilities generated by the idea.
