INSPIRATION

As humans we need to be lifted and motivated to go forward and achieve. Outstanding feats of individuals can drive us towards our goals on a psychological and spiritual level, and history is enriched by leading and classical examples of its impact.
My love of the pigeon is well known, and I recall gazing at the blue cock King of Rome in the museum at Derby. As a small boy mother and I would feed the strags peanuts in the Wardwick Square just adjacent to the museum, and young Emerton would meditate on the charismatic Mr Hudson and his famous bird - a day dream that would change and ignite the fire of my imagination.
On a celebrity level many outstanding personalities have inspired me on a deeply felt level and these include the Bird Man of Alcatraz, Ayrton Senna, William Blake and Nelson Mandella. In the future some of you may become sources of inspiration - just go out and DO it.
