THE STEVE WAIN CONNECTION

In 2002 Stephen from Foston, Derbyshire made contact with myself and the birds at Holtby, Yorks. He had serious long distance aspirations up to NFC Tarbes. I supplied him over the years with top genes from the family - some free and some for a song. Evolving from these was his No 1 pair of directs bred from an inbred son of Diabolos paired to Velvet Destiny, he direct from Mystical Queen and Dark Velvet. The son of this pair became a key producer when paired to a red hen of Dark Enchantment and Circus Boy genes.
Steve has given my friends direct children of the top pair, and children of his 3 times Tarbes hen - a NFC section winner at Nantes. The latter is the dam of Nick Harvey’s current No 1 stock hen - a champion progenitor to BBC Barcelona International level.
Currently taking a break from active racing, we owe a debt of gratitude to the selfless generosity and sportsmanship of the man. The offspring from Mr Wain’s birds will ensure the future of his contribution to the complex world of the sport.
