DISTRACTIONS TO YOUR AMBITIONS IN THE SPORT

In a pigeon world full of wonder pigeons, stars and celebrities, temptations to change course and direction are the demons that lurk, in the media and round every corner. The other man’s grass may look greener, to cloud our long term focus, and we can listen to too many quasi experts, and change clubs and pigeons before really testing our birds and systems and methodology. Much of this can be psychological indicating withering hope and knowledge and belief.
Trends and fashions in names of birds and the who’s who rise and fall like the sun and rain. The men who endure over time, evolve a system and a strain, perhaps in the whole expanse of a lifetime. In the ephemeral, transient nature of the sport, the old boys were the sages of the past, who may occupy the pages of the future. To create a team of genuine performance birds is an onerous task.
