Hessle were flying from Battle this Saturday 13th.May our longest inland race 11 members sent 211 birds. Improving from last week with the same pigeon taking 1st. club vel. 1662 came Barry Milburn with a chequer Vandabeele cock from John Ellerby also winning all pools with his second bird.

2nd. club vel. 1651 making his first appearance this year in the prize ring was Barry Shaw with a Maurice Mattheuws yearling chequer hen winner of a 2nd. & 4th as a Y/bird. Not far away in 3rd.& 4th.club vel's 1645 and 1643 P. & C. Carmichael first pigeon a winner from Maidstone last year and only bird on the day in federation from Pithiers she is the current winner of the Humberside Trophy.2nd.pigeon was the well known '611' her prize list keeps getting longer and longer.

Now to Chelmsford on the 20th May pigeons liberated at 7.45 into a light s/westerly Taking 1st & 2nd. club with two super pigeons which will figure high in the federation result came Dave Chaffer vel's 1710 & 1687 ,both yearlings first a blue hen second a blue pied cock both previous winners. 3rd club vel. 1685 P.& J. Moody with a Yearling blue Cooremans hen 4th club vel. 1674 P. & C Carmichael with a 2yo. Blue hen.
