Saturday April 22nd and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Hullavington where 2283 pigeons were liberated at 10-30 in a north west wind.
Topping the federation with a yearling hen doing 1435 was Ralph Jepson of Selston.Taking second fed was Mr & Mrs P Todd of Derby Premier with a two year old mealy hen doing 1426.F & T Salt Bros & Son of the Railway Inn were third with a yearling blue cock doing 1425 followed by M & L Herbert of Poolsbrook in fourth & fith with a yearling cheq cock doing 1424 & a yearling cheq hen doing 1423.Sixth position went to Mr & Mrs Cox & Sons of Poolsbrook doing 1422 with a yearling blue cock. B & C Brelsford & Son of Woodhouse were seventh with a yearling blue hen doing 1417.In eighth & tenth positions was Rimmington & Wright of Darnell with a two year old cheq cock doing 1416.8 and a two year old blue hen doing 1416.5 with Mr & Mrs A Jackson of Woodhouse in ninth doing 1416.6.

1st & 2nd north section went to M & L Herbert of Poolsbrook with a yearling cheq cock doing 1424 & a yearling cheq hen doing 1423.
3rd north section went to Mr & Mrs Cox & Sons of Poolsbrook with a yearling blue cock doing 1422.
4th north section went to B & C Brelsford & Son of Woodhouse with a yearling blue hen doing 1417.

In Derby Premier Mr & Mrs P Todd took three of the first four positions with velocities of 1426,1386 & 1378.Their first pigeon was a two year old mealy hen followed by a two year old blue cock then a three year old cheq cock.In second position with a yearling cheq cock doing 1396 was L.D.S. In the Railway Inn F & T Salt Bros & Son took the top two positions with a yearling blue cock doing 1425 to take the red card followed by a yearling blue hen doing 1406 to take second.In third position was Mr & Mrs K Salt with a yearling dk/pied cock doing 1405.7 with Dave Willis & Family in fourth with a three year old cheq cock doing 1405.5.
In Poolsbrook M & L Herbert took the red card with a yearling cheq cock doing 1424 followed by a yearling cheq hen doing 1423 to take second. In third & fourth positions was Mr & Mrs Cox & Son doing 1422 & 1407.Their first pigeon was a yearling blue cock followed by a two year old cheq hen.
In Woodhouse B & C Brelsford & Son take top spot with a yearling blue hen doing 1417 with Mr & Mrs A Jackson in second & third positions doing 1416.6 & 1416.3 followed by Jenkinson,Powell,Roy Riley in fourth with a two year old doing 1407.
In Darnell Rimmington & Wright make a clean sweep with velocities of 1416.8,1416.5,1415.8 & 1415.3.Their winner was a cheq cock followed by three blue hens all two year olds.
In South Normanton R.Black gets the winner with a yearling cock doing 1399 followed a four year old cock doing 1383 to take fourth.In second position was D Roberts with a yearling cock doing 1396 with R. Slingsby in third with a yearling cock doing 1394.
In Kilburn K.Foulke takes three of the first four positions.His winner is a yearling mealy cock doing 1395 followed by a yearling dark cock doing 1386 then a two year old dark hen doing 1344.In third position with a yearling blue cock doing 1354 was K Creswell.
In Park Mr & Mrs Goodwin take first & fourth positions with a yearling hen doing 1395 taking the red card and a two year old hen doing 1370 to take fourth.In second position with a yearling cock doing 1389 was W O'Brien & Son with B & J Broughton & Co in third position with a two year old cock doing 1372.
In Storey Arms R Gee comes out on top with a two year old cheq pied hen doing 1336 to take the red card followed by J Barker taking the next three positions doing 1332,1331 & 1330.His first pigeon was a five year old blue cock followed by a two year old blue cock then a yearling blue cock.
