Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club Presentation 2013

Saturday November 16th and Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club held their annual prize distribution evening at the Seven Oaks public house & resturant at Stanton by Dale. Principal guests for the evening were Alan Houldsworth and his wife Liz. After a short speech by hard working secretary Deryck Towers everyone sat down to a very nice meal, then it was down to the presentation.

Top prize winner for the 2013 season was the man & wife partnership of John & Pam Dowd winning 8x1sts, 3x2nds, 5x3rds, 3x4ths, 4x5ths & 5x6ths with prize money of £189. Runners up were Roger & Mark Duffield winning 6x1sts, 5x2nds, 3x3rds, 6x4ths, 6x5ths & 3x6ths with prize money of £178. Next came Rick Shelton winning 3x1sts, 6x2nds, 6x3rds, 6x4ths, 4x5ths & 7x6ths and prize money of £168. Next came Frank Pilgrim winning 1x2nd and prize money of £10.50 followed by G. Inger & Son winning 1x3rd and prize money of £7.00.

After the prize distribution there was a raffle with many prizes to be won with the proprietor of the venue giving a meal for two which was won by John & Pam Dowd, then club secretary Deryck Towers presented two bouquets of flowers, one to Lisa Inger for all the hard work she has done over the 2013 season and the other to Liz Houldsworth for which she says thank you very much, the flowers were beautiful. I would like to say thank you for inviting us along. It was a very enjoyable evening, the meal was excellent and the company was first class.
