Saturday May 3rd 2014 and the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation were at Hullavington for the second week running. The pigeons were liberated at 09-45 with no wind given.


Getting the first pigeon into Derby and taking the red card in Derby South Road Club also topping the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation was the Mackworth loft of Roy Gregory & Son with a two year old cheq cock doing 1546. (Well done Roy & Paul nice birthday present to). Taking the next three positions was the Chaddesden loft of John & Steve Hicks doing 1526, 1525 & 1518. In their five bird section Roy Gregory & Son get the winner doing 1546 with the next three positions going to John & Steve Hicks doing 1526, 1517 & 1485.

In Etwall & District Flying Club Mr & Mrs T Childs & Son get the winner doing 1520 with a yearling b/w/f cock. The next three positions went to Paul Williams with three two year old cocks doing 1485, 1484 & 1483.

In the Silver Ghost Homing Society Rueben Hough takes the top two positions. His first pigeon was a two year old b/cheq cock doing 1518 this has been his first pigeon for the past three weeks. His second pigeon was a yearling b/cheq cock doing 1449. Third position went to Tom Chadwick with a yearling b/cheq cock which was purchased form Keith Hurworth doing 1446 followed by Woolley & Rogers with a four year old blue cock (The Runaway Cock) doing 1434.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club Mr & Mrs John Dowd get the red card with a yearling cheq cock doing 1496. Rick Shelton took second position doing 1495 with a two year old blue cock followed by Roger & Mark Duffield in third & fourth positions with a slatey three year old hen doing 1473 and a two year old blue cock doing 1472.


In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Stone took the first two positions with a yearling cheq hen doing 1482 followed by a yearling cock doing 1480. Taking third & fourth positions doing 1463 & 1461 with two cocks was Mick Fearn of Little Eaton.


The in form loft of Paul & Lynda Todd continue to dominate Derby Premier in their race from Marlborough with the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation making a clean sweep taking the first four positions doing 1532, 1523, 1508 & 1498. Their winner was a seven year old blue hen followed by a yearling blue hen then two,two year old cheq hens.
