Saturday 17th September and it was the final race of the season for the Burton & South Derbyshire Federation who were at Kingsdown for their young bird Federation special race.

The pigeons were liberated at 10-15 in a light north west wind.

Getting the red card in Etwall & District Flying Club with a dk cheq hen doing 1225 also the first pigeon into Derby was Alan & Liz Houldsworth.They also took second position with a cheq hen doing 1083.In third & fourth positions doing 1079 & 1019 was Dave Williams & Son.

In Osmaston Park Homing Society Mick Stone takes the red card with a blue hen doing 1152.In second & fourth positions was
S & H W Hall with two cheq hens doing 1119 & 1109 with Roy Gregory & Son in third position with a blue hen doing 1114.

In Derby South Road Flying Club Paul & Lynda Todd took the first three positions with a blue cock doing 1118 to take the red card followed by a blue hen doing 1054 in second position then a blue cock doing 1012 to take third.In fourth position was Mick Leszczyzcak with a ch/w/f hen doing 937.

In Ilkeston Bulls Head Flying Club John & Pamela Dowd made it a clean sweep with their winner doing 1223 followed their next three pigeons doing 1197.5,1197.2 & 1196.
