Saturday May 11th and the Derby Burton & District South Road Federation were at Salisbury where 79 members sent 1807 birds which were liberated at 07-30 in a light north west wind.

Taking the next two was D. Poole (Railway Inn North) with a yearling blue cock doing 1346.8 taking third, followed by a two-year-old blue cock doing 1346.3 in fourth then a two-year-old blue cock doing 1327.6 in tenth. In fifth & seventh was G. Jones & B. Proctor (Woodhouse) with a yearling blue cock doing 1345.2 and a cheq hen doing 1344.6. Sixth & eighth with a yearling blue hen doing 1345.0 and a three year old blue hen doing 1343.7. was V. Derricott & T. Poole. In ninth doing 1340.4 was M & A Sherwood (Woodhouse).

In fifth was G. Jones & B. Proctor (Woodhouse) with a yearling blue cock doing 1345.2, followed by V. Derricott & T. Poole in sixth with a yearling blue hen doing 1345.0.
In the South Section Selston Member Monty Buxton took the top three with three yearlings. First was a cheq cock doing 1320.3 followed by a blue cock doing 1302.2 then a blue hen doing 1295.8. Taking the next two was R. Coope (South Normanton) with a two-year-old black hen doing 1289.2 followed by a yearling blue cock doing 1284.3. with sixth place going to D. Willis & Family with a two-year-old cheq hen doing 1283.5.
