BURTON & SOUTH DERBYSHIRE FEDERATION.
Brilliant race out of Marlborough sees Glyn & Glenda Stone of Holbrook take 1st Fed.
Saturday May 30th was another beautiful racing day, blue sky; sunshine and gentle winds. 66 members from 8 clubs sent 1190 birds and Alys had them away at 08-20 in a light NW wind, turning light SW en route home.
The birds romped home and followed up lovely; with the NW wind at the start of the race and SW at the home end, it was a great chance for the birds at the top end of the fed to gain fed honours; and they didn’t disappoint.
Congratulations to Glyn and Glenda Stone of Holbrook on taking 1st fed; flying as M. Stone (their late father and husband) they timed in their good 2yo blue hen on 1558. Her sire is off one of Simon Parkinson’s National winners, and her dam is the good Louis Cooreman hen from Trevor Jennings of Holbrook. The fed topper has previously won 1st club Bath; 3rd club Marlborough; 4th club Cheltenham; and 4th club Exeter this year; well done Glyn and Glenda.
