YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS
WITH SUE.
This week the race from Sleaford on the 22 of August was liberated in a South West Wind Topping the Combine and the South Section is Ken Lister of Holderness on 2059.Topping the North Section is Keith Todd of Scarborough on 1953. Topping the Central Section is Dave Robinson of Hull on 2003. Well done to everyone on the results. We would like to thank Gary Cox for taking over the race controller job from John Rawson who I am so sorry to say is extremely poorly. The clubs reported they had excellent returns.
Coastal South Section:
Holderness Flying Club. 7 members sent 189 birds with the red card going to Ken Lister on 2059 with one from John Wright stock and is a Geoff Cooper x with J. Dickens of Northern Ireland blood. Second & Fourth places went to Ken Lister on 2057 & 1922 with his team of young birds which a couple of weeks earlier had the y.b. sickness but are now back on form. Third place went to Colin Bolton on 1942 with a Hofken cross from his old stuff that has served him so well over the years this one didn't trap that great but no excuses from Colin, who is taking a short holiday to recharge his batteries well done Colin enjoy the break.
Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 141 birds with the red card going to Colin Cadwallender on 1884. Second place went to Phil & June Edmonds on 1883. Third and Fourth places going to Gavin Leahy on 1869 & 1861
Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 277 birds with the red card and Second place going to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 2059 & 2057 with a pair of Vandenabeele gift birds off Clive Lister. Third place went to Ken Gray & Paul Atkin on 2044 with a self bred Dave Lloyd x Janssen hen. Fourth place went to Ken Gray & Paul Atkin on 2043 with a Herman Ceuster.

Second place went to Julie & Zoe on 1926 with a Oliver Wilkinson Janssen. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1898 with a Busschaert. Fourth place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1880 with a Romein Klien.
Withernsea Homing Society. 3 members sent 38 birds with the red card going to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1818 with a John Rawson pigeons which won the first Sleaford. Second place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1617 with a John Rawson pigeon. Third place went to New Member C. Gray on 1417 with a Staf Van Reet. Fourth place went to Dean Adamson on 1230 with a Hereman Ceuster.
Coastal North Section:
Scarborough Social Club. 4 members sent 82 birds with the red card going to Keith Todd on 1953 with a granddaughter off Ken Skelton’s Chris Vasey cock x Janssen hen. Second place went to Keith Todd on 1953 with a hen off Ken Skelton Chris Vasey cock x Marina Van de Velde both pigeons clocked at the same time. Third & fourth Places went to Andy Moon on 1944 & 1941 with a pair off Ken & Sue Skelton’s pigeons.
Whitby Premier Club. 8 members sent 223 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1878 with a cock bred by Roberts good friend Keith Homer from his Leo Heremans x Louis Thijs. Second place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1878 with a hen bred by Roberts good friend Frans de Coux. Third place went to S Mallinson & Son Rob on 1878 with a cock bred by Roberts good friend Keith Homer from his direct Leo Heremans x Louis Thijs. Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son on 1877 with a cock bred by Roberts good friend Joe & Leroy King after exchanging some youngsters. All flown on dark system and on sliding door and Rob wins the pools.
Central Section:
Hull Millennium Club. 13 members sent 411 birds with the red card and Second places going to Dave Robinson on 2003 & 2002 with a Pair of Carrera Vandenabeeles x Frank Bristow hen both these pigeons have been Humberside Trophy Winners. Third place went to K & H Green on 1915 with an Alan Stone & Son cock. Fourth place went to K & H Green on 1914 with a hen from his Ark Family.
Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 97 birds with the red card going to A & K Marshall on 1931. Second Third and Fourth places all went to Andy Cook on 1915, 1908 & 1868.
Wawne Ferry Club. 4 members sent 123 birds with the red card and taking all the first four going to Jim Lowther & Son on 1893 1890 1845 & 1844 with three Janssens and the fourth being a Herman Ceuster.
Hull Chalk Lane Club. 9 members sent 187 birds with the red card going to Dave Thompson on 1822 with a Mathews. Second place went to Dave Thompson on 1816 with a Herman Ceuster. Third & Fourth places went again to Dave Thompson on 1815 & 1815 with a pair of Mandelartz.

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 93 birds with the red card going to Barry Kipling on 1861 with a Micky Foster breeder buyer. Second place went to C. Wood & Son on 1828 with a Legeist x Janssen. Third place went to Barry Kipling on 1810 with a Dave Cash of Brighton pigeon the nest mate was 1st S. Wales fed last week. Fourth place went to C. Wood & Son on 1810 with a Cattryse. Barry wins the £62 pools.
