NEWS WITH SUE.

This week was the first race of the season from Huntingdon on the 14th of June with the birds liberated in a Variable East wind. Topping the Combine and the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 1441. Topping the South Section is C. M & L Bell of Bridlington on 1386. Topping the North Section is S. Mallinson & Son Rob of Whitby on 1362. Well done everyone

 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 17 members sent 360 birds with the red card and Second place going to Alan Stone & Son on 1441 & 1417 with yearlings. Well done. Third place went to Kev Kingston & Family on 1368 with a yearling. Fourth place went to D. Sultan on 1366 with a yearling.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 100 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1338 with a Herman Ceuster x Deweir hen which won as a young bird. Second place went to B. Rowson on 1334 with a Kenyon x Blacks cock had 2 x 1st as young bird. Third place went to Williams Bros on 1331 with a Mathews x Ceuster hen. Fourth place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1316 with a Phil Sullivan hen.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 51 birds with the red card and second place going to Cook & Plant on 1232 & 1231. Third place went to A. Smith on 1209. Fourth place went to Bettney & Plant on 1208.

Driffield Homing Society. 9 members sent 173 birds with the red card going to George Atkinson on 1422 with a multi prize winning Vandenabeele. Second place went to George Atkinson on 1409 with a Vandenabeele winning many 1st prizes. Third and Fourth places went again to George Atkinson on 1378 and 1368 with a pair of Vandenabeeles.

North Hull Club. 6 members sent 76 birds with the red card going to S. Siddle on 1341 with a Janssen. Second place went to Elvis Smith on 1240 with a Busschaert. Third place went to S. Siddle on 1239 with his 3rd place Humberside trophy yearling that’s had a few wins now. Bred by Martin Dawson. Fourth place went to S. Siddle on 1232 with a Van Hee.

Kingston Flying Club. 4 members sent 81 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1357 with a Shane Redding Herman Ceuster and wins the pools. Second place going to Mark Taylor on 1333 with a Gary Cox Herman Ceuster. Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1274 with another of Shane Redding Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor on 1274 with a Gary Cox Herman Ceuster.

Wawne Ferry Club. 7 members sent 147 birds with the red card going to Maciej Szifer on 1322 with Shaun Haigh of Barnsley bird. Second place went to Maciej Szifer on 128 with a Gordon Cooper of Patrington bird. Third place went to A & K Hajduk on 1290 with a Drapa x Silver Shadow. Fourth place went to Maciej Szifer on 1290 with another of Shaun Haighs birds.

 

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 352 birds with the red card going to C. M & L Bell on 1386 with one of his old breed. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1368 with a multi prize winning 3yr old Vandenabeele. Third place went to Gray & Atkin on 1366 with a Dave Kennedy Van der sar. Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1360 with one of his old breed.

Bridlington D.F.C. 9 members sent 138 birds with the red card going to Dave Lloyd on 1382 with a Lambrecht which has had 4 x 1st and a Second. Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1322 with a Herman Ceuster x Geerinckx. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1321 with a Busschaert. Fourth place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1321 with a Romein Klien.

Holderness Flying Club. 7 members sent 215 birds with the red card going to Chris Salter on 1356 with a latebred cock from Mickey Betts that came well clear of the rest I'm pleased for Chris that this particular bird came to win as he has worked hard with a few latebreds and although a few have gone "AWOL" this makes it all worth the effort well done Chris. Second place went to K & S Walsh on 1279 with a 3yr old Frans Zwol cock. Third place went to K & S Walsh on 1279 with a Gary Cox yearling Herman Ceuster. Fourth place went to K & S Walsh on 1278 with a yearling hen of Frans Zwol. Keith had one before these three but ring didn’t register but he did say is wouldn’t have beaten clubmate Chris Salters bird

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 8 members sent 220 birds with the red card going to Phil & June Edmonds on 1333. Second place went to A. Bettney on 1291. Third place went to R. Tate on 1251. Fourth place went again to Phil & June Edmonds on 1246.  

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 111 birds with the red card going o Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1141.Second place went to Dean Adamson on 1089. Third and Fourth places went to Dave Beadle on 1078 & 1078

Scarborough Social Club. 7 members sent 219 birds with the red card going to Neil Rogers on 1359 with a Terry & Paul Douthwaite Wouters x Kipp & Son. Second place went to Neil Rodgers on 1355 with a Herman Ceuster x Euro.Third Place went again to Neil Rogers on 1351 with a Van Tuil x Vandenabeele. Fourth place went to Andy Moon on 1334 with a Dave Pickering bird which last year had 2nd 3rd & 5th Battle 3rd Huntingdon and a 5th Billericay.

Whitby Premier Club. 5 members sent 145 birds with the red card going to S Mallinson & Son on 1362 with a 3yr old Frans de Coux x Louis Thijs cock which has had 3 x 1st Chelmsford  2nd & 8th Battle 2nd & 2 x 8th Huntingdon. Second place went to Alan Richardson on 1358 with a 2yr old Louis Thijs Herman Ceuster cock winning all the pools. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1347 with a Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster yearling cock x Gaston van der Wouwer yearling cock. Fourth place went to Alan Richardson on 1338 with a Rob Horton of Birmingham 2 yr old cock.
