YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE FEDERATION
Saturday the 27 th of August with the birds being liberated at 11-10am at Sleaford in a West South West wind. A good race with good returns although people were saying that on this wind their birds were coming back and off the Coast. The federation being one of the largest starts from about 51miles up to 108miles on the shortest races. Hopefully the wind will change but I doubt it. T opping the Federation and the Coastal South Section is Steve Sellars and Dave Walker of Bridlington 1670 Winning the Coastal North Section is Colin Smith of Filey on 1606 Winning the Central Section is Ken Gladstone of Driffield on 1568

COASTAL NORTH SECTION :
Filey Homing Society . 8 members sent 124 birds with the red card going to Colin Smith on 1606 with a pigeon bred by Bryan Maude. Second place went to Colin Smith again on 1595 with a Janssen x Van Loon which won the first race. Third place went to John Gage & Son on 1590 with a Soontjen. Fourth place went to Jess Hotham on 1584 with one of his Van Loon cocks, which was 2 nd from Huntingdon and 3 rd from Wanstead.
Scarborough Premier Club . 12 members sent 188 birds with the red card going to Ken and Sue Skelton on 1529 with a pigeon that was 4 th from Wanstead and is bred out of a Felix Pauwels x with a gift bird off the famous Houben Family. Second place went to Keith Todd on 1522 with a Braspenning hen, the nest mate was 3 rd from Huntingdon. Third place went to Andy Craig & Littlewood on 1513 with a Van Loon cock a gift bird off Chris Vasey of Whitby. Fourth place went to Ken & Sue Skelton again on 1508 with a bred out of a direct Felix Pauwels x with one of Albert Witty's Pauwels.
Hunmanby Homing Society . 12 members sent 186 birds with the red card going to Tony and Angela Clubley on 1571 with a pigeon bred from S. Richardson stock of Thorley, Durham. Second place also went again to Tony and Angela Clubley on 1568 with a Van Loon off P. Cartridge of Peterlee. Third place went to John and Les Hill on 1567 with a Janssen cock a gift bird off Colin Smith of Filey. Fourth place went to John and Les Hill again on 1566 with a Soontjen x Busschaert cock off Frank Sheader stock. This pigeon has scored before and taken the pools for the third week running.
Scarborough Social Club . with the red card going to Terry and Paul Douthwaite on 1540 with a pigeon bred off pure Willy Vranken's. Second place went to Terry and Paul Douthwaite again on 1528 with a Geert & Clara Philips cock x Willy Vranken hen a daughter of his car winner. Third place went to Willy and Sam Garnett on 1509 with another of their Leen Boers. Fourth place went to Willy and Sam Garnett again on 1500 with another off their Leen Boers.
Loftus W.R.I.Club . sent 124 birds with the red card going to Sayers Bros on 1328 with a daughter bred off their Combine winner. Second place went to Sayers Bros again on 1325 with a Busschaert bred off T. Smith of Stanley. Third place went to Rick Halton and Son on 1317 with a Bertie Basset blue hen. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Brundle and Granddaughter Ebony on 1314 with a Kavel Voorts. Ebony got nettled climbing down a bank side to save this pigeon, which was near to dying which she has named Geordie Blue.This pigeon has had two races and been first back both times and is bred by A. Hedley of Forest Hall off Belgium Stock .
Whitby Premier Club . 11 members sent 168 birds. Having a first class day is Storr Bros & Son on1462. Brian and postman son Jason won with a slatey Leagiest Janssen darkness hen bred from birds that Jason got from his mate Simon Parkinson of Crowle, Scunthorpe. Second place went to Stan & Robert Mallinson on 1461 with a blue darkness Guido Barberien hen from a multi winning cock. Third place went to Stan & Robert Mallinson again on 1460 with a darkness Gaston De Wouwer hen from a winning pair off Bill Halifax of Filey. Fourth Place went to Brian and Jason Storr again on 1458 with another darkness hen that was 2 nd from Peterborough. A Vandenabeele off Atkins & Perkins a top loft in Billingham x Leageist Janssen off Simon Parkinson of Crowle. Scunthorpe, they also took the pools. Well done Frank and Barry a good race.
CENTRAL SECTION :
Hull Premier Club . The red card went to Eric and Barbara Dent on 1401. Second place went to Dave Thomas on 1353. Third place went to J & P Hall on 1340 Fourth place went to Eric and Barbara Dent. No details were given for any of the above.
Little Weighton Club . 8 members sent 82 birds Having their first young bird race and taking the red card is Jackson & Fletcher on 1436 with a pigeon out of their No. 1 stock cock Whitby Boy x newly introduced Janssen Van Den Bosch stock hen. Second place went to Rob and Tracy Shaw on 1428 with a black hen out of their Krauth x Jan Aarden stock they have bred a lot out of their distance lines aiming for the longer National races. Third place went to Kev Kingston and Family on 1411. Where Kev goes so does the pigeons making them tough survivors. Fourth Place went to Jackson and Fletcher again on 1388 with a Janssen Van den Bosch home bred from their new stock. Good Race by all.

North Hull Club . The red card went to Terry Stead on 1470 with a Van Loon cock which won Peterborough and Wanstead. In Second place and having their first y/b race is Mr & Mrs W Hadley & Son on 1449 with a pigeon bred by Heather Fielder out of a De Klack hen of their own and a Nauwelaert cock off Heathers. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hadley & Son again on 1401 bred out of one of Chris Sextons and one of their own. Fourth place went to E & J Lister on 1343 with one of their own family of pigeons. Heather has a 36ft pan tile roof loft for sale if anyone is interested.

Bristow on 1485 with a Staf Van Reet gift bird from George Rudd. Third place went to W. Bristow again on 1477 with a Janssen x Krouth hen from Dave Franciosy stock. Fourth place went to Petherbridge and Coates again on 1476 with a Busschaert hen. Andy Murry won the pools, Top bird and Maltby Voucher.

Third place went to Mike Shipley on 1375 with a Wildemeersch hen which is half Jake Catterill x with an egg off Viv Hayward. Fourth place went again to Sam Etherington again on 1318 with a Venner from Bill Brown stock. The £1 nom was won by the Gilberdyke Taxi driver Keith Huntley.
COASTAL SOUTH SECTION:
Bridlington D.F.C . 15 members sent 231 birds with with the lofts of Bolton & Williamson and Michelle taking the first four places on 1667, 1665, 1662 and 1660 with their ultra winning family of Planet Van Loons Brian also won the 6 bird and Nom. These Van Loons must be the best on the Planet and they know how to motivate them. Well Done.
Bridlington Eastside . 7 members sent 75 birds with the red card going to Trevor Cruxon on 1657 no details. Second place went to Norman Robinson on 1652 with a son of the Stucky cock x Daughter of 3 1 st and R.P award winner. Third and Fourth places went to William Coverdale on 1632 and 1628 no details given. Breeder Buyer race will take place from Reed.

Hornsea & District . 4 members sent 84 birds with the first four positions going to Phil and June Edmonds on 1534, 1497, 1482 and 1478 Phil's first bird is a Braspenning Van Loon that's been in the prizes before, their second pigeon is a Jan Aarden bred out of Ken Dales stock. Their third pigeon is a Hartog and their fourth pigeon is a Van Loon.
Hedon Flying Club . 8 members sent 85 birds with the red card going to A & F Sarel (having only sent 3) on 1507 with a Janssen x Van Bruanne taking its first card. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Lister on 1493 with a Ron Williams Busschaert . Third place went to Mr & Mrs Lister again on 1481 with a Kevin Locker Soontjen. Fourth place went yet again to Mr & Mrs Lister on 1474 with another Kevin Locker Soontjens which has already scored earlier in the season.
