This week the race from Huntingdon on the16th of July was liberated in a Westerly wind. Topping the Combine for the 5th time this year and the South Section is Derek Nicholls of Patrington this race being his last in the Yorkshire Middle Route due to moving back down South. Derek will be missed for his input on the Combine committee and his input into the sport we wish you well for the future . Topping the North Section is Ken & Sue Skelton of Scarborough on 1385. Topping the Central Section is Keith Gleeson of Hull on 1428. Topping the West Section is Wardle & Hayward of Eastrington on 1367. Well done Derek and everyone on the result.

Coastal South Section:

 

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 4 members sent 37 birds with the red card going to Derek Nicholls on 1497 with a yearling Heremans Ceusters cock that was 2nd open 2nd section Peterborough and 5th open and 5th section Huntingdon this year and scored before. Second place went to Derek Nicholls on 1463 with a yearling Geerinckx hen that was second combine as a youngster and had other positions. Third place went to Derek Nicholls on 1433 with a yearling Hereman Ceuster cock that was seventh Combine Arras in the recent very hard channel race. Fourth place went again to Derek Nicholls with a 3yr old Gaston Vand De Wouwer hen won many prizes including 4th section 4th open this year.  

Withernsea Homing Society. 3 members sent 21 birds with the red card going to Pete Davenport on 1424 with a Lambrecht hen which now has 3 x 1st prizes. Second place went to Pete Davenport on 1393 with a Lambrecht hen. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1369 with a Sharlackens cock. Fourth place went to Pete Davenport on 1332 with a Hereman Ceuster hen.  

Flamborough Homing Society. 6 members sent 75 birds with the red card going to   John & Linda Chadwick on 1416 with a Hereman Ceuster x Van Dyke which has been in the first four places in last three inland races. Second place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1415 with a Van Dyke x Derwa which won as a young bird. Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1398 with a Van Dyke x Veenstra which was 2nd from Huntingdon last week. Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1416 with a Van Dyke x Derwa which won prizes as a young bird

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 4 members sent 59 birds with the red card Second Third and Fourth places going to Gavin Leahy on 1432 1413 1408 and 1408 all with his Clive Lister birds. 

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 49 birds with the red card and fourth place going to Harry Smith on 1306 and 1253. Second place went to Riley Wilkinson on 1305. Third place went to Mr & Mrs O. Wilkinson on 1294.

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Scarborough Social Club. 4 members sent 41 birds with the red card going to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1385 with a yearling Derek Nicholls Hereman Ceuster hen which was 1st Billericay 7th section 31st open this year and has had a 4th at Billericay and minor cards before. Second place went to Pete Thorpe on 1322 no details. Third place went to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1317 with a Derek Nicholls Hardy Kruger which was 1st Huntingdon 4th open 2nd section last week and had a 5th at Billericay plus other prizes. Fourth place went to Pete Thorpe on 1306 with a D. Llyod multi prize winning Hereman Ceuster which has also had a 1st section and 2nd Billericay and 2nd Huntingdon this year.   

Filey Homing Society. 4 members sent 28 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1340 with a Billy Thomson Nottingham pure Gaston van de Wouwer. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1311 with a Ian Vernon cock x Maring van de Velde. Third place went again to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1307 with a self bred Tony Trattles of Loftus x A.J. Maul. Fourth place went to Colin Smith on 1298 with a W. Hen won this year.

Hunmanby Homing Society. 2 members sent 30 birds with the red card and Third and Fourth places going to Tony Robson on 1342 1258 and 1242 with his Marina Van de Veldes. Second place went to John & Les Hill on 1274 with his Busschaert family. Whitby Premier Club. 8 members sent 122 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son with a yearling cock bred by Roberts good friend Frans de Coux of Berlaar Second place went to S Mallinson & Son with a yearling hen bred from direct Louis Thijs Heremans Ceusters. Third place went to S Mallinson & Son with a 2yr old hen bred by good friends Peter David & Chris Hughes of Wales from there Syndicate pigeons. Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son with a 2yr old hen bred from direct Louis Thijs Heremans Ceusters S Mallinson & Son and Alan Richardson win pools.  

 

 

Central Section:

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 42 birds with the red card going to Williams Bros on 1396 with a Malderhart cock. Second place went to Williams Bros on 1394 with a Malderhart cock. Third place went to Williams Bros on 1394 with a Janssen cock. Fourth place went to Duffin & Beasley on 1348 with a self bred cock.

Hull Millennium Club. 6 members sent 70 birds with the red card going to Kev Green on 1421 with a yearling from his own family of Ark birds. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hall on 1394 with a Karel Boeckx x K. Stamford. Third place went to M. Taylor on 1391 with a Hardy Kruger on chase from W. Brownlea. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hall on 1375 no details.  

Cottingham Homing Society. 3 members sent 25 birds with the red card going to Graham Howman on 1339 with a multi card winning Dave Robinson Vandenabeele. Second place went to Graham Howman on 1251 with a Pauw Brothers which has had numerous  cards plus a 2nd Section. Third place went to Graham Howman on 1249 with a mult card winning Dave Robinson bird. Fourth place went to Kev Kingston and Family with their only entry which was a Pete Dixon of Driffield bird.      Driffield Homing Society. 7 members sent 71 birds with the red card going to Paul Woodmansey on 1382 with a 2yr old which has had a 2nd Boves 3rd Arras and 2nd Peterborough this year also wins the Hagston meat nom. Second place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1382 with a yearling which is taken its first card which was reported in Kirbylonsdale but came back on its own steam Third place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1347 with a yearling taking its first card. Fourth place went to Colin Sedman on 1329 with a 2yr old Dave Ireland Gift bird.

North Hull Club. 3 members sent 17 birds with the red card going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1316 with a multi card winning Van Reet. Second place went to C. Wood & Son on 1308 with a Ian Mizon Soontjen. Third place went to C. Wood & Son on 1299 with a R. Crawford van Reet that won Boves and Arras. Fourth place went to M. Shutt on 1269 with a Les Pollard Soontjen.

Kingston Flying Club. 4 members sent 31 birds with the red card going to Andy Hunter on 1410 with a Hereman Ceuster bred off a gift bird off Gary Cox. Second Place went to Andy Hunter on 1316 with a prize winning Jos Thorne. Third place went to E. Barnes on 1295 with a previous winning Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to E. Barnes on 1286 with a Marcelis cock. 

Walton Priory Club. 5 members sent 38 birds with the red card going to D. Rasul on 1380 with a gift bird from Beadale in N. Yorks. Second place went to P. Mitchell on 1342 with a Dave Franciosy cock. Third place went to G. Block on 1331 with a Steve Sutton Busschaert cock. Fourth place went M. Foster on 1273 with a Franciosy gift bird

Jar In Hand Club. 3 members sent 40 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs King on 1333 with a Coorman. Second place went to A. B. Scarah on 1313 with a 9 line bird. Third place went to Mr & Mrs King on 1311 with A. B Scarah x Janssen. Fourth place went to A. B Scarah on 1290 with a Hereman Ceuster. 

Wawne Ferry Club. 4 members sent 40 birds with the red card going to Keith Gleeson on 1428 with a Rene Nauweleart. Second place went to M. Szifer on 1419 with a Koopman x Janssen. Third place went to M. Szifer on 1385 with a Koopman. Fourth place went Anderson & Anderson on 1319 with a Lindelauf (N Houghton)   

 

 West Section 

 

Eastrington P. F. C. 6 members sent 58 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to Wardle & Hayward on 1367 1324 with a pair of Lambrechts. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 1338 with a Vandenabeele. Third place went to George Atkinson on 1329 with one of his own cross breeds. 

Norton I. Flying Club. 11 members sent 130 birds with the red card going to Brian Ford & Sons on 1357 with a Cor Leitjen x Van Dyke which has scored before. Second place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1356 with a Cor Leitjen x Winkle x Ceuster which has had 4 x 1sts. Third place went to Mick Burdett on 1344 with a Drapa x Busschaert which was 1st Boves, 1st Section and 39th open. Fourth place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1340 with a Leo Heremans. Mick won the £22 pools. Brian grabit Dawson won £154 Pontoon bought a round of drinks and got a nose bleed!!

Kirbymoorside F. Club. 7 members sent 64 birds with the red card and Third place going to Howard Jackson on 1312 and 1280 with a pair of his family of birds. Second place went to Bob Kent on 1299 with a self bred of M. Hodgson stock. Fourth place went to Albert Tateson on 1280 with a self bred Leemputten.
