YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

Huntingdon 2 - September 2014

The Combine raced from Huntingdon on the 21st of September, liberated in a North West wind, the birds once again shooting over to the East Coast. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse of Bridlington on 1222. Topping the North Section is Mr & Mrs Hotham of Filey on 1209 Topping the Central Section is Paul Woodmansey of Driffield on 1155. Topping the West Section is B. Ford & Sons of Norton on 1076. Well done everyone.

 

Coastal South Section:

 

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 101 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1222 with a Premier Stud Multi winning Gaston Van de Wouwer. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1209 with a self bred Poortvliet  x Koopman. Third place went to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1209 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster which has had 2 x 1sts. Fourth place went to Kerry Mellonby & Ricky Wheelhouse on 1208 with a Premier Stud Geerinckx which has had 2 x 1sts.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 69 birds with the red card and Second place going to Phil & June Edmonds on 1001 and 994 with a pair of Vandenabeeles. Third and Fourth place went to AM & JA Bettney on 981 and 981 no details given.

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 7 members sent 288 birds with the red card going to Graham Sparkes on 1190 with a Premier Stud Albert Derwa. Second place went to Graham Sparkes on 1190 with another Premier Stud Albert Derwa. Third place went to Graham Sparkes on 1190 with a Premier Stud Geerinckx. Fourth place went to Graham Sparkes on 1190 with a Premier Stud Gaston Van De Wouwer.

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 89 birds with the red card going to Dave Beadle on 1130 with a Premier Stud Gaston Van de Wouwer. Second place went to Dave Beadle on 1130 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1080 with a Premier Stud Gaston Van de Wouwer. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 1080 with a Premier Stud Gaston Van de Wouwer which has topped the Combine.

 

Coastal North Section:

 

Hunmanby Homing Society. 4 members sent 58 birds with the red card going to John and Les Hill on 1079 with a Bussey Chapel x Flor Engels. Second place went to Tony Robson on 1031 with a Marina Van De Velde. Third place went to John & Les Hill on 1006 with a Bussey Chapel x Busschaert. Fourth place went to John & Les Hill on 1005 with the nest mate to the winner. Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 107 birds with the red card going to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1099 with a Mr & Mrs Beswick Karel Boeckx. Second place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1085 with a Quinjren x Arien Vereckt. Third place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1025 with an Arien Vereckt which has had a 1st Sleaford and a 5th Billericay. Fourth place went to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1022 with a Hardy Kruger which has had a 5th from Huntingdon.

Second place went to Alan Richardson on 1160 with a Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster hen sitting 14 day eggs which has had a 2nd Sleaford. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1062 with a Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster hen sitting 14 day eggs Fourth place went to Alan Richardson yet again on 973 with a Louis Thijs  Hereman Ceuster. Alan Richardson wins the pools

Filey Homing Society. 3 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1209 with a self bred pure Marina Van De Velde's. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1208 with a self bred Leo Heremans x Louis Thijs. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1188 with a self bred Marina Van De Velde. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1121 with one of a pair of Dave Hazels of Gainsborough.

 

Central Section:

 

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 178 birds with the red card and Second and Third places going to D. Williams on 1122, 1096 and 1091 all with his Dave Thompson Hereman Ceusters. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1063 with a Van den Bosch x Lindelauf.

Hull Millennium Club. 8 members sent 121 birds with the red card going to K & H Green on 1036 with one of a gift bird off G. Greens Janssens x his Ark family which had a 1st at Battle. Second place went to K & H Green on 1033 with one of his Ark family. Third place went to K. Stamford on 1021 with one from his family of gift birds. Fourth place went to A. Stone & Son on 1010 no details.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 71 birds with the red card going to W. D. S. & S Hadley on 1060 with a Mike Wood Jan Theelan which has had cards before. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Sullivan on 1031 with a Benny Stevennic. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Sullivan on 1030 with a self bred Sat Nav. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Sullivan again on 1027 with a Stickers Doncnic!!

Driffield Homing Society. 9 members sent 176 birds with the red card going to Paul Woodmansey on 1155 with a Bob Mallinson cock. Second place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1154 with a Bob Mallinson cock. Third place went to Sam Jackson on 1134 with a Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1125 with a Bob Mallinson hen which won Huntingdon earlier in the season, Paul also wins the pools.

North Hull Club. 5 members sent 54 birds with the red card going to Barry Kipling on 978 with a Pete Mitchell gift bird, he also wants to thank Noel Houghton for his training. Second and Fourth place went to Mick Foster on 977 and 956 with a pair of self bred Busschaerts. Third place went to S. Oloughlin on 973 with a Mike Wood gift bird.

Kingston Flying Club. 4 members sent 79 birds with the red card going to Gary Cox on 1069 with a Premier Stud Geerinckx which has now had 5 x 1sts. Second Third and Fourth places went yet again to Gary Cox on 1059, 1047 and 1044 all with his Premier Stud Hereman Ceusters.

Little Weighton Club. 3 members sent 47 birds with the red card and Second place going to R. Lonsdale on 953 and 926. Third and Fourth place went to Fawcett & Oliver on 892 and 831.

Walton Priory Club. 3 members sent 48 birds with the red card going to Jamie Manual on 1059 with a Premier stud Hereman Ceuster. Second place went to G. Block on 1028 with a hen. Third place went to G. Block on 1016 with a Busschaert hen. Fourth place went to Jamie Manual on 1008 with a hen.

West Section: 

Eastrington P. F. C. 7 members sent 142 birds with the red card going to Wardle & Hayward on 1010 with the same bird as last week which is a Lefebre Dhaenen from a Dutch barn stock caught one night on a rafter. Second place went to J. M. Shipley on 996 with a self bred Derek Sumner hen, Mike also wins the Meat nom. Third place went to Steve Neale on 989 with a Norton breeder buyer Van Loon x De Klak from B. Greenley which wins the £1 nom. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Brumby on 988 with a Vandenabeele x Van Lint.

Norton I. Flying Club. 11 members sent 220 birds with the red card going to B. Ford & Sons on 1076 with a Kannibal x Hereman Ceusters which has now had a 1st and 2nd.  Second place went to B. Ford & Sons on 1076 with a Hereman Ceuster. Third place went to B. Ford & Sons on 1072 with a Leemputten x Leitjen. Fourth place went yet again to B. Ford & Sons on 1070 with a Hardy Kruger x Hereman Ceuster.

Pocklington H. Society. 4 members sent 55 birds with the red card going to D. Carlton & Sons on 1058 with a Janssen. Second place went to G. W. Atkinson on 984 with a G.W. Acey Supercrack. Third and Fourth place went to G. W. Atkinson on 984 and 948 with a pair of Vandenabeeles. D. Carlton & Sons win the £1 nom

Goole L.M.S.H.S. 7 members sent 97 birds with the red card and Second place going to A T Tomlinson on 1032 and 1027 with a pair of self bred Geveart Van Schoorise hens. Third and Fourth place went to S Lockwood on 994 and 980 with a pair of self bred Polisg Van Dyke and Old Janssen x Willy Thas.

Kirbymoorside F. Club. 5 members sent 99 birds with the red card and Second place going to A. Tateson on 998 and 989 with a pair of self bred Leemputtens. Third place went to M. Howe on 962 with a Mike Kirby of Kneddlington. Fourth place went to Gaden & Kent on 949 with a Karel Boackx.
