NORTON INVITATION HOMING SOCIETY
2014 Presentation
Saturday the 15th of November when 28 members and wives and friends sat down to the club's Dinner at the Derwent Arms, Norton. A very pleasant evening was had by all. The Members would like to say a big thank you to guest of honour R. Lythe who used to race pigeons and still helps out on basketing night; he was also asked to present the cards and prize money. All members had money to come.
First place went to B. Ford & Son with loft manager Rowan who had an excellent season with a record 106 points and £532 winning the breeder buyer and the gold ring winners, also last race pools and pontoon winners. (Gary said watch this space a year ago and their time has come). Second place went to Mick Burdett who had a good season considering he had to give up his allotment for building work and had to set up on a new allotment. A very good season was had by all the members. When a club can pay out £1,000 plus per season it says something is being done right. Many thanks to Yorkshire Middle Route on an excellent racing season.
Submitted by Gary Burdett on behalf of the club.
