YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE

PATRINGTON FLYING CLUB PRESENTATION NIGHT
The presentation was held at “The Country Club at Patrington Haven Leisure Park” which is the home of Partrington Flying Club, a five star holiday home leisure park for static caravans, chalets and luxury lodges open 11 months of the year on the East Coast of Hull with caravans available from £6995. There is a very large restaurant, also a gym and swimming pool. It is well worth a visit if not just for this but also the huge pigeon stud which is on site.
Our day started off with myself and Ken and Dave Coates arriving as guests to present prizes and we had all been booked in by Graham at the Dunedin Hotel in Patrington, which was a very nice hotel set back in its own grounds. At 6-30 we were picked up by Derek and taken to the Country Club venue where we started off with drinks then sat down to an excellent three course meal which started off with three choices, soup, pâté or prawn cocktail followed by either duck, pork or baked fish, finishing with lemon soufflé, chocolate brownie or a large plate of cheese and biscuits. Then it was onto the presentation with Dave Coates presenting the prizes and myself taking the photos.
The Highest Prize Winner was G. & H Sparkes with 9 x 1sts, 5 x 2nds, 9 x 3rds and 6 x 4ths and 14 Trophies.
Second place went to Derek Nicholls with 6 x 1sts, 7 x 2nds, 6 x 3rds and 6 x 4ths and 5 Trophies.
Third place went to Graham Sparkes with 4 x 1sts, 6 x 2nds, 3 x 3rds and 3 x 4ths and 4 Trophies.
Fourth place went to Paul & Helen Johnson with 3 x 1sts, 3 x 2nds, 3 x 3rd and 4 x 4ths.
Fifth place went to Reg Wright with 2 x 1sts, 2 x 2nds, 3 x 3 and 3 x 4th and 1 Trophy.
Sixth place went to John Wadsworth with 2 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 3 x 3rd and 1 x 4th.
Seventh place went to Tony Meek with 1 x 1st, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 4th.
Eighth place went to Martin Weaver with 2 x 2nds.
Ninth place went to Mr & Mrs Ken Lister with 1 x 4th.
After the presentation it was onto the raffle then dancing until midnight with a guest singer Dan Furniss, a very talented entertainer. Everyone commented on what a good night they had.
