This weeks Yorkshire middle route Combine race from Billericay was on the 18th of June and were liberated in a North West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is John & Linda Chadwick of Bridlington on 1216. Topping the North Section is Jess & Jen Hotham of Filey on 1215. Topping the West Section is B. Ford & Sons of Norton on 1214. Topping the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 1202.

Coastal South Section:

Flamborough Homing Society. 6 members sent 119 birds with the red card going to John & Linda Chadwick on 1216 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster x Van Dyke multi prize winner as y.b and old bird. Second place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1215 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster x Van Dyke multi prize winning in young and old birds. Third place went to Kerry & Lisa Mellonby on 1207 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Kerry & Lisa Mellonby on 1183 with a multi scoring Premier Stud Gaston Van de Wouwer.

Bridlington D.F.C. 6 members sent 77 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1215 with a pure Gaston Van de Wouwer bred by Billy Thomson Nottingham which won from Chelmsford two weeks ago. Second Third and Fourth places went to Harry Smith on 1144 1139 and 1126 all with his family of Jan Loots which scored over the last two weeks.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 4 members sent 75 birds with the red card Second and Third places going to Gavin Leahy on 1135, 1129 and 1118 with his Vandenabeeles.  Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Bennison on 1111 with a yearling.

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 8 members sent 98 birds with the red card going to Ken Lister on 1144 with a Janssen which he only sent because it had been hawked a couple of weeks ago as it was supposed to be going to Bourges. Second place went to Martin Weaver on 1142 with a Vandenabeele x Van Rijn. Third place went to Martin Weaver on 1135 with a Ted Crane Soontjen. Fourth place went yet again to Martin Weaver on 1132 with a Vandenabeele.

Withernsea Homing Society. 6 members sent 55 birds with the red card going to Pete Davenport on 1104 with a Lambrecht bought 3yrs ago for £10 taking its 1st card. Second place went to Tony Meek on 1077 with a Vandenabeele. Third place went to Dave Beadle on 1069 with an Albert Derwa.  Fourth place went to Tony Meek on 1060 with another Vandenabeele.

 

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 9 members sent 150 birds with the red card going to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1206 with a Arien Vereckt x Koopman which has 5 x 1st 1 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd to its name. Second place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1174 with a Quirijnen x Leo Hereman which has had a 1st and 4th before. Third place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1166 with a Vandenabeele x Leo Hereman. Fourth place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite again on 1165 with a Geerinck which had a 1st Peterborough.

Filey Homing Society. 3 members sent 56 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1157 with a self bred Leo Heremans x Louis Thijs. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1145 with a multi prize winning Bill Thomson of Nottingham Gaston Van de Wouwer hen. Third place went to with a Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1134 with a P. J. Rozier x Koopman. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1129 with a multi prize winning self bred Jacob Poorvliet x Louis Thijs hen.

Hunmanby Homing Society. 6 members sent 64 birds with the red card and Second and Fourth places going to Tony Robson on 1151 1138 and 1126 all with his Marina van de veldes. Third place went to D. W. Craske on 1128 with a self bred.

Whitby Premier Club. 7 members sent 124 birds with the red card going to J. McCourt & Son on 1163 with a 2yr old roundabout Soontjen Wormleigton & Swinney of Sunderland cock. (this loft now has a new owner Paul Abbott who is racing the old birds in McCourts name then changing to Abbott with the young birds)  Second place went to Alan Richardson on 1163 with a self bred yearling Louis Thijs hen on top form she was 2nd Combine Battle and 2nd Combine Arras this year and takes the nom. Third place went to Les Winspear & John Cowey on 1155 with a 3yr old roundabout Westlea Lofts Lambrechts taking 2nd nom. Fourth place went to McCourt & Son on 1153 Paul clocked a yearling roundabout cock.

 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 5 members sent 55 birds with the red card and 3rd place going to Alan Stone & Son Dave on 1202 and 1181. Second and Fourth places going to John & Jackie Hall on 1187 and 1166.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 8 members sent 70 birds with the red card going to Duffin & Beasley on 1192 with a Phil Sullivan gift hen. Second place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1172 with a Soontjen x Van den Bosch cock which has had 2 x 1st club. Third place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1132 with a Van den Bosch x Flor Engles cock which has had a 2nd. Fourth place went to George Rudd on 1130 with a Hofken x Janssen.

Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 55 birds with the red card going to Ian Tuttle on 1160 with a Ronny Nicklin Herman Ceuster which has 2 x 1st and 7 x 2nds to its name. Second and Fourth places went to Phil & Sue Sullivan on 1135 and 1131 with two off his old family of birds. Third place went to Ian Tuttle on 1135 with a hen which is taking its first card.

Driffield Homing Society. 8 members sent 75 birds with the red card going to Paul Woodmansey on 1195 with a yearling self bred Bob Mallinson bird which was 4th from Eastbourne. Second place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1159 with a 4yr old  Bob Mallinson bird which was 1st from Huntingdon. Third place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1159 with a yearling self bred Bob Mallinson bird which has had 2 cards this year. Fourth place went to Paul Woodmansey on 1159 with a yearling self bred Gray & Atkin x B Mallinson cock which was 2nd Chelmsford this year.

North Hull Club. 5 members sent 21 birds with the red card Second and Third places going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1134, 1132 and 1130 all with their own family of Van Reets. Fourth place went to Barry Kipling on 1107 with his own Van Reet.

Kingston Flying Club.  4 members sent 45 birds with the red card going to Craig Clark on 1139 with a Gary Cox bird which has won 4 time already. Second place went to Craig Clark on 1125 with a Gary Cox bird. Third place went to Bill Drayton on 1114 with a Busschaert. Fourth place went to Andy Hunter on 1110 who is away on holiday celebrating his 50th birthday so his brother Gary is looking after the birds.

Walton Priory Club. 5 members sent 34 birds with the red card going to Dilsnad Rasul on 1151 with a Richard Crawford Staf Van Reet. Second place went to Mick Foster on 1119 with a Fred Davies Vandenabeele cock. Third place went to Mick Foster on 1103 with a Fred Davies Vandenabeele cock. Fourth place went G. Block on 1099 with a Steve Sutton Busschaert multi prize winning cock.

West Section

Norton I. Flying Club. 8 members sent 122 birds with the red card going to Brian Ford & Sons on 1214 with a Cor Leitjen x Van Winkle now having its 4th x 1st. Second place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1211 with a multi prize winning Kannibal x Ceuster. Third place went to Brian Ford & Sons on 1194 with a Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to M. Hodgson on 1180 with a Hereman Ceuster.

Kirbymoorside F. Club. 7 members sent 88 birds with the red card going to Gaden & Kent on 1131 with a Hofken x Janssen. Second place went to Dodson & Allen on 1116 with a self bred Janssen. Third place went to Gaden & Kent on 1096 with a Robert Venus hen. Fourth place went to Michael Howe on 1092 with a Mike Kirby from Nedlington cock.

Eastrington P. F. C. 10 members sent 77 birds with the red card going to George Atkinson on 1194 with a Vandenabeele x Van Hove. Second place went to George Atkinson on 1175 with one of his own mix breed. Third place went to George Atkinson on 1152 with a son off the second bird. Fourth place went again to George Atkinson on 1145 with a Vandenabeele.
