YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This weeks Yorkshire middle route Combine race from Newark on the 23rd of July were liberated in a Variable wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Hoggard, Linley & Ellis of Bridlington on 1468. Topping the Central Section is Mark Taylor of Hull on 1464. Topping the North Section is Jess & Jen Hotham of Filey on 1434. Topping the West Section is R. Burdett of Norton on 1411. Well done everyone on the first young bird race of the season.

 

Coastal South Section: 

Flamborough Homing Society. 8 members sent 291 birds with the red card going to Hoggard Linley and Ellis on 1468 with a Hereman Ceuster. Second and Third places went to Hoggard Linley and Ellis on 1463 and 1462 with a pair of Sablon full brothers. Fourth place went once again to Hoggard Linley and Ellis on 1461 with a Hereman Ceuster full brother to the winner. 

Patrington Haven Leisure Club. 7 members sent 189 birds with the red card and Second place going to Kenny Lister on 1384 and 1295 with a pair of his own breed. Third place went to Derek Nicholls on 1262 with a Premier Stud Gaston van de Wouwer. Fourth place went to Derek Nicholls on 1262 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster.

Withernsea Homing Society. 5 members sent 83 birds with the red card Pete Davenport on 1378 with a Staf Van Reet. Second Place went to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1331 with a Ken Anderson x George Atkinson. Third and Fourth places going to Tony Meek on 1305 and 1292 with a pair of Vandenabeeles.

Bridlington D.F.C. 3 members sent 31 birds with the red card going to Harry Smith on 1387. Second and Third places went to Martin Milner on 1366 and 1366. Fourth place went to Harry Smith on 1357.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 7 members sent 247 birds with the red card going to Phil & June Edmonds on 1342 with a Vandenabeele. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Bennison on 1337 no details. Third place went to Phil & June Edmonds on 1309 with a Van Loon. Fourth place went to Gavin Leahy on 1282 with a Vandenabeele.  

  

Central Section: 

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 153 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1464 with a new breed off G. Cox a Geerincks good start with a win. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 1462 with one of his Ger & Mark McCourt of Ireland breed. Third and Fourth places went to John & Jackie Hall on 1444 and 1443. 

Cottingham Homing Society. 3 members sent 101 birds with the red card going to Kev Kingston & Family on 1439 with a one of his Basket Breed. Second place went to Dave Robinson on 1439 with a Carrera x Vandenabeele. Third place went to Dave Robinson on 1438 with a G. Howman Pau hen. Fourth place went to Dave Robinson on 1433 with a Carrera Vandenabeele.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 5 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1457 with a Koopman x Vandenabeele. Second place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1457 with a Sablon x Majestic Vinx. Third place went to George Rudd on 1389 no details. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1368 with a Vandenabeele x Koopman.

Driffield Homing Society. 5 members sent 101 birds with the red card and Second place going to Paul Woodmansey on 1387 and 1353 with a pair of self bred Bob Mallinson birds he also won pools. In old birds Paul had three section wins on the trot. Third place went to Winnie Hagston & Son on 1353 with a Pete Beroce bird. Fourth place went to Winnie Hagston & Son on 1352 with a Nick Adshead bird.

North Hull Club. 2 members sent 20 birds with the red card going to Barry Kipling on 1427 with a self bred R. Crawford Ceuster. Second Third and Fourth places went to Barry Kipling on 1416, 1416 and 1366 with his Staf Van Reets.

Kingston Flying Club. 5 members sent 136 birds with the red card and second and third and Fourth places going to Craig Clark on 1373, 1370, 1367 and 1365 all with his G. Cox Geerinckx.   

Little Weighton Club. 2 members sent 52 birds with the red card and Second and Third places going to Tony Walker on 1417 1401 and 1348. Fourth place went to Jacksons & Fletcher on 1244.

Walton Priory Club. 6 members sent 79 birds with the red card going to D. Rasul on 1391 with a self bred off a London gift bird. Second and Third places went to D. Rasul on 1390 and 1365 with a pair of R. Crawford Staf Van Reets. Fourth place went M. Foster on 1296 with a R. Crawford Staf Van Reet hen. 

Jar In Hand Club. 4 members sent 51 birds with the red card going to H. Wallace on 1408 with a Soontjen gift egg off N. Laycock. Second place went to Mr & Mrs King on 1354 with a self bred Coorman. Third place went to Mr & Mrs King on 1262 with a Soontjen gift bird off H. Wallace. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Houghton on 1243 with a self bred Steve Cook Jan Theelan. 

 

Coastal North Section: 

Scarborough Social Club. 4 members sent 96 birds with the red card going to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1365 with a self bred Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster. Second place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1324 with a Geerinck x Benny Steveninck. Third place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1313 with a Benny Steveninck x Leo Heremans. Fourth place went to Ken & Sue Skelton on 1292 with a Kerry Mellonby Geerincks.

Filey Homing Society. 4 members sent 123 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1434 with a Jason Buckle Stowmarket Flor Engels. Second place went to Colin Smith on 1422 with one of his new sprint blood. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1411 with a self bred Van Elsacker. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1410 with a self bred Van Elsacker x Gaston Van de Wouwer.

Hunmanby Homing Society.  4 members sent 92 birds with the red card and Fourth place going to Tony Robson on 1402 and 1356 with his Marina Van de Velde. Second and Third place went to John & Les Hill on 1367 and 1366 with their Bussey Chapel x Busschaert family of birds.  

Whitby Premier Club. 6 members sent 213 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son on 1391 with a Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster cock. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1390 with a hen off his good friend Willy Verberck. Third place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1390 with a self bred Louis Thijs x Homer & Williams Leo Heremans cock. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1389 with a Louis Thijs Hereman Ceuster flown on darkness and flying to perch. Also winning the noms.

 

West Section club

Eastrington P. F. C. 6 members sent 163 birds with the red card Second Third and Fourth places going to George Atkinson on 1370, 1369, 1368 and 1367 all with his family of  De Saer x  Vandenabeeles.

Kirbymoorside F. Club. 8 members sent 145 birds with the red card going to Freddie Grimmer on 1384 with a J Douglas Willy Jacobs x J. Hotham Marina Van de Velde lines. Second place went to Freddie Grimmer on 1382 with a pure Marina Van de Velde. Third place went to Howard Jackson on 1370 with a Rocker. Fourth place went to Dobson & Allen on 1321 with a Hofken cross.
