YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This weeks Yorkshire middle route Combine race from Sleaford on the 11th of September was liberated in a South West wind. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Andrea Nicholls of Patrington on 1814 Topping the North Section is Jess & Jen Hotham of Filey on 1698 Topping the West Section is Alan Gill of Norton on 1696. Topping the Central Section is Dave Robinson of Hull on 1682. Well done everyone.

Coastal South Section:

Patrington Haven Leisure Club.  5 members sent 121 birds with the red card going to Andrea Nicholls on 1814 with one of her 8 birds she had in 3 mins which is a Premier Stud Geerinckx hen. Second place went to Andrea Nicholls on 1813 with a Premier Stud Albert Derwa cock. Third place went to husband Derek Nicholls on 1793 with a Premier Stud Hereman Ceuster. Fourth place went to Bob Puttock on 1781 with a Premier Stud Rauwe Sablon.

Withernsea Homing Society. 4 members sent 82 birds with the first four places going to Tony Meek on 1748 1746, 1746 and 1746. First Second and Fourth birds were all Vandenabeeles. Third bird was a Paul Johnson gift bird.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 131 birds with the red card and Second Third and Fourth places going to Gavin Leahy with his family of Clive Lister Vincks

Flamborough Homing Society. 8 members sent 163 birds with the red card going to Gray & Atkin on 1752 with a Steve Sellars x Premier Stud Ceuster. Second place went to Gray & Atkin on 1740 with a Premier Reyneart x S. Sellars. Third place went to Gray & Atkin on 1739 with a Stu Linley Vandenabeele x Dave Kennedy De Saer. Fourth place went to Gray & Atkin on 1738 with a Dave Kennedy De Saer x Soontjen.

Bridlington D.F.C. 5 members sent 78 birds with the red card Second and Third place going to Harry Smith on 1720, 1658 and 1616 with his family of Hofkins. Fourth place went to Martin Milner on 1601.

 

Coastal North Section:

Filey Homing Society.  5 members sent 79 birds with the red card going to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1698 with a self bred Paul Beaumont Stefaan Lambrecht. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Hotham on 1696 with a Jason Buckle Stowmarket Flor Engels. Third place went to Colin Smith on 1687 with a Veenstra Louella. Fourth place went to Colin Smith on 1633 with a Leo Heremans.

Hunmanby Homing Society.  4 members sent 92 birds with the red card and Third place going to John & Les Hill on 1683 and 1604 with a pair of Bussey Chapels. Well John you will soon be running around after your operation knowing you, I am sure the members of the combine that know you will wish you well. Second and Fourth places went to Tony Robson on 1652 and 1601 with his Marina Van de Veldes.

Scarborough Social Club. 6 members sent 99 birds with the red card going to Derek Howard & Paddy Johnson on 1649 with a Keith Arklass of Up North which is one of his 6 young birds he is racing every week this one was 3rd from Huntingdon. Second place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1639 with a Benny Steveninck x Vandenabeele. Third place went to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1639 with a Geerinck. Fourth place went again to Terry & Paul Douthwaite on 1623 with a Leo Heremans x Mystique.

Whitby Premier Club. 5 members sent 105 birds with the red card going to McCourt & Son (Paul Abbott) on 1627 with a Russell Morley hen. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son on 1626 with a cock bred from Gert Heylen x Leo Heremans Bob wins both noms. Third place went to M. Wood on 1613 with a self bred Brian Hawes Leo van Rijn. Fourth place went to S Mallinson & Son on 1610 with a Louis Thijs  x Frans de Coux cock which had a 3rd Chelmsford.

 

Central Section:

Hull Millennium Club. 9 members sent 129 birds with the red card going to K. Stamford on 1668 with a G. Coggin A Rowan Janssen gift bird. Second place went to Wright & Scott on 1644 with a D. Franciosy Vandenabeele gift bird. Third place went to John & Jackie Hall on 1603 with a self bred Moody x Jackies & Clarry. Fourth place went to K & H Green on 1565 with one of their Ark family. .

Cottingham Homing Society. 4 members sent 100 birds with the red card going to D. Robinson on 1682 with a self bred Frank and George Bristow x his own stock which was 99th combine from Eastbourne. Second place went to D. Robinson on 1662 with a Graham Howman hen which was 1st Huntingdon. Third place went to D. Robinson on 1661 with a self bred from his own stock. Fourth place went to D. Robinson on 1682 with a self bred x Julian Petch which scored from Newark.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 5 members sent 94 birds with the red card going to Franciosy & Bennett on 1457 with a Soontjen x Sablon cock having had a 2nd Huntingdon. Second place went to George Rudd on 1455 with a Mathews x Mandleheart cock. Third place went to George Rudd on 1455 with a W. Bristow Busschaert cock. Fourth place went to Franciosy & Bennett on 1425 with a Leo Hereman hen.

North Hull Club. 5 members sent 52 birds with the red card and Second place going to Pete & Angie Burke on 1472 and 1427 with a pair of self bred Van Reets. Third place went to Barry Kipling on 1406 with a Richard Crawford Van Reet. Fourth place went to C. Wood & Son on 1388 with a Romain Legeist x Brasspenning.
