YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE COMBINE NEWS

This week the race from Bourges on the 6th of July were liberated in no wind but turned out to be a tough race. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Harry Smith of Bridlington on 1009. Topping the Central Section is Alan Stone & Son of Hull on 984. Well done to all those who managed to clock in from the Combines Longest race approximately 520 miles to the longest flyers.
Coastal South Section:
Flamborough Homing Society. 10 members sent 56 birds with the red card going to Harry Smith on 1009 with a 3yr old off his old very consistent family of pigeons. Second place went to Ken Gray & Paul Atkin on 963 with a 2yr old off his own breed. Third place went to Nathan Hoggard Stuart Linley & Tony Ellis on 927 with a self bred yearling. Fourth place went to Kerry Mellonby Stuart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 919 with a 2yr old.
Hornsea & D. H. Society. 6 members sent 50 birds with the red card and Second place going to Gavin Leahy on 608 and 572 with a pair of 2yr olds. Third and Fourth places went to Barry Blenkinsop on 554 & 540 with a yearling and a 3yr old.
Withernsea Homing Society. 5 members sent 31 birds with the red card and Third places going to Trevor Robinson on 566 & 549 with his Jan Ardens. Second place went to Rob Keelty on 549 with a 2yr old. Fourth place went to Dave Beadle on 533 with a 4yr old.
Central Section:
Hull Millennium Club. 6 members sent 43 birds with the red card going to Alan Stone & Son on 984 with only bird on day a Roland Janssen winning last year. Second place went to Alan Stone & Son on 757 with a 7yr old favourite Soontjen called Emma. Third place went to Ian Tuttle on 749 with a 2yr old Lindelauf x Vandenabeele off Mick Allison stock. Fourth place went to K & S Marritt with a 3yr old Dixon of York cock flying to chipping eggs was 4th Bourge last year.
Cottingham Homing Society. 5 members sent 10 birds with the red card going to John & Margaret Rawson on 467 with a 5yr old consistent prize winner off his Radar Family.
Wawne Ferry Club. 6 members sent 23 birds with the red card going to A. Chmiel on 764 with a 2yr old Maceij Szifer Janssen x Koopman gift bird. Second place went to M. Szifer on 587 with a Jan Arden Rafal Kowalski gift bird.
