This week’s race from Huntingdon on the 20TH of May was liberated in a South West wind sending the birds over to the Coast. Topping the Combine and the South Section is Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles of Bridlington on 1805. Topping the North Section is Mr & Mrs Hotham of Filey on 1793. Topping the West Section is Brian Ford & Sons of Norton on 1766. Topping the Central Section is John and Margaret Rawson of Hull on 1748. Well done to Kerry & Stuart and all on the result.
Coastal South Section:
Flamborough Homing Society. 9 members sent 211 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby & Stuart Knowles on 1805 with a yearling Hereman Ceuster which scored as a young bird. Second place went to Hoggard Linley and Ellis on 1788 with a Rauw Sablon. Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1784 with a Hereman Ceuster which won last week. Fourth place went to Hoggard Linley and Ellis on 1784 with a Hardy Kruger.
Patrington Haven Leisure Club. members sent 112 birds with the red card going to Derek Nicholls on 1748 with a yearling Hereman Ceuster hen winning her 5th Combine prize. Second place went to Derek Nicholls on 1747 with a multi winning Hereman Ceuster which is the father of the winner. Third and Fourth places went again to Derek Nicholls on 1747 and 1747 with another pair of Hereman Ceusters.
Withernsea Homing Society. 7 members sent 120 birds with the red card going to Reg Wright on 1717 with his new breed Mareetbat. Second place went to Alec Dodson on 1700 with a one of his Ken Anderson breed. Third place went to P. Davenport on 1694 with a Lambrecht. Fourth place went to R. Keelty on 1667 with a gift bird off Martin Dawson Bourges winner.
