The 2016 prize presentation was held at the Plough Inn in Hollym with Secretary Alec Dodson welcoming the members & family and friends also with a big thank you to Margaret who is the assistant secretary and completes all the prize card also along with Trevor Robinson they cleaned all the trophies. Alec said it was very pleasing to still have a prize presentation since 1958 when the club was formed. In the 60s and 70s a turn out of 60 to 70 was the norm often with a coach load of fanciers from Hull, on one memorable occasion due to a lack of communication they had three different entertainers plus a for runner of Karaoka from founder member Gordon Cooper.

Presenting the prizes was Martin Weaver and starting in reverse order was Dean Adamson with card from the old bird programme, next Alec & Margaret Dodson with prizes mainly from Newark Battle & Eastbourne, next was Pete Davenport who had an excellent season having wins from Arras, Billericay, Huntingdon and Newark winning several trophies and the only member that completed the entire programme. Dave Beadle was runner up with many 1sts inland and a 1st Arras and several Trophies. The Highest prize winner went to Tony Meek with 7 x 1st including Eastbourne twice and Clermont. After the club presentation Alec presented the Combine awards to Dave Beadle and Tony Meek who topped the combine from Eastbourne young birds. Flowers were presented to Sue the Landlady of the Plough inn which the club members would like to thank Sue and Steve for looking after them so well. An excellent Buffet and raffle followed the presentation making it an excellent evening with Martin and the usual suspects still there to the very end with Steve the landlord in fine form as he was off to see West Ham play the next day.
