Chris Gordon RIP Chris Gordon of Old Snydale passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday 15th May, aged 73. The husband of Carol, a devoted and loving dad to Kim with her husband Chris, and Katie with her fiancé Ross, cherished and adored grandad to Harriet and Olivia, a very dear brother to Madeline, and a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many people, especially within the pigeon racing community. The funeral service will be held at St. John’s RCâ¦

Chris Gordon of Old Snydale passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday 15th May, aged 73. The husband of Carol, a devoted and loving dad to Kim with her husband Chris, and Katie with her fiancé Ross, cherished and adored grandad to Harriet and Olivia, a very dear brother to Madeline, and a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many people, especially within the pigeon racing community.
The funeral service will be held at St. John’s RC Church, Normanton, on Thursday 5th June at 1:00pm, followed by interment at Normanton Lower Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations for a pigeon trophy in Chris’s memory, to be awarded to one of his beloved pigeon clubs. A donation box will be available at the back of the church.
Following the service, a funeral buffet will be held at Kings Croft Hotel, Pontefract. The family invites attendees to share a written message or humorous story about Chris, which can be placed in a pigeon basket at the back of the church for the family to read later.
