Carrier Pigeon ‘Icarus’ is a Star A carrier pigeon is the star of an excellent thought-provoking film based on the music of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Their son, Sean Ono Lennon, said: “In 2023, I worked with Dave Mullins and Brad Booker on an animated short film called WAR IS OVER! – about a wartime carrier pigeon delivering messages across the battlefield between two chess-playing soldiers – which I’m delighted to say, won the 2024 Academy Award for Best Animated Short. So it can be available for everyone to see, we are Premiering the film on YouTube on 1st December – and raising donations for the charity WARCHILD throughout the holiday season.” Watch the film below, and follow the link to the War Child UK site, if you wish to donate.
