2012 PRESENTATION

North West Federation held its presentation dance on Friday 9th November in the British Legion, Grangemouth. There was a poor turn out of members but those who attended certainly enjoyed themselves. Guests for the evening were Mr & Mrs McKee from the Midland Fed. They both do a great deal of work for the Midland Fed and SNFC.

Top prize winner was Tommy Blair from Stirling club winning a incredible 17 federation trophies: old bird inland, old bird, young bird and combined average, fed open average, fed points trophy, Maidstone ob &Ripon yb average, Maidstone, Clermont & Ripon average, best average 5th and 14th races, Otterburn ob, Witton Castle1 ob, Ripon ob, Peterborough ob opposite section, Coldstream yb and Consett yb.

Club mate Peter McGowan & Son took Wakefield ob trophy and Stirling club again won the league championship.

Alex McCalley & Son Avonbridge won best average Alencon & Clermont and first fed SNFC Alencon.

Danny Henderson Bannnockburn won Coldstream ob, Newark open and first yearling Newark trophies.

John & Garry Grant Plean won the trophy for Coldstream old bird.

Grangemouth member Scott Morrison won 2 trophies - Witton Castle 1 ob opposite section and Maidstone opposite section. Club mate Jim Smith won first fed SNFC young bird national and Consett yb opposite section.

Airth member Willie Alves took 2 trophies - Ripon ob opposite section and Witton Castle 2 ob opposite section. Airth club mates David and Mandy Laird won opposite section Newark trophy. Another Airth member Duncan Cowan won the trophy for kelso yb.

T&M Paterson Plean won first fed SNFC Clermont and first fed SCC Clermont trophies. They also took the old bird of the year trophy.

Stewart Robertson Clackmannan took the trophy for first fed SNFC inland national. Cubmate Bert Sharp won the Consett yb trophy.

J W Strang & Son Laurieston won the following trophies - Peterborough open, first yearling Peterborough, Ripon yb open, Wakefield yb, first fed SCC yearling derby, first fed SCC Wakefield yb, and the young bird of the year.

Rab Stewart Tillicoultry won the Witton Castle 2 trophy and Ripon yb opposite section.
