The Acton Bridge is going strong this year in comparison to previous years and this week saw 11 send 238 birds with some members from the first week not sending. The ever-present partnership of Curtiss-Wall-Lunt clocked them in rapid succession with their first two being on the same yard and down to at least the 6th decimal, 1432ypm. Their next 3 were also on the same yard down to the 6th decimal on 1431ypm. 1st with a 2yr old cock that was 2nd Central Lancashire Combine 5,464 birds last season only beaten by loft mate, he is g-son "Eurovision" of Leo Heremans. 2nd in the clock is a 2yr cock “617” this cock has won 1st fed before plus 3rd central Lancashire Combine 6,000 plus birds. He is a direct son of their famous "Box 9 Pair" making him inbred to the equally famous "Olympiade 03". 3rd is another 2yr cock “610” who is one of their most consistent cocks at the lofts being beaten 7 times for 1st fed only by loft mates mostly on the trap. He is a direct son of "Fredrick" bred by Leo Heremans. They are also 4th with a yearling cock who was 2nd fed as a young to loft mate, again he is a direct son of their famous "Box 9 Pair”. The partnership also take the first 4 in the fed where 74 members sent 1550 birds to be liberated at 11am from Cheltenham in a North wind. The fed is starting well with another good send so let’s hope they keep it up.

The Middlewich 5B racing with the SWCF were at Bath when 71 members entered 1069 birds that were liberated into a light North wind. Alan Woodcock wins another race on 1318ypm after clocking a yearly chequer cock. Mr & Mrs Dudley Niblett are 2nd on 1313ypm followed by Ken Bosson & Son recording a vel of 1311ypm ahead of W Wilson & Son 4th on 1304ypm. Moulton’s D Pritchard topped the fed this week on 1321ypm with a yearling blue hen.
