Alan says: 'Rob Roy killed himself in his nest box on the bars when he got his head stuck when on the drive in 2005 but I have many happy memories, none more than timing him in the dark at the Centenary smash. This will live with me forever as up to then he had only ever been a sprinter in my eyes but he had it all -  the real deal.'
