GIFTED FANCIERS

These remarkable and singular individuals have and will make a huge impact on the world of pigeons. Noted for their penetrating and persistent long term focus, they often make a lasting and original contribution to performance levels, the knowledge and intellectual life of the pigeon subculture and leave an indellible mark in the complex web of the sport and hobby. Some of these characters are pure competitors at an advanced level, whilst others may contribute to literature via reports, books and films and interviews. All of them reach out beyond themselves as observers, and in happy conection with birds. Some maintain a private profile, whilst others embrace a little fame in the media, depending on personal style and temperament. We know them and we read about them, as they are the hardcore of the foundations. I have been privileged to encounter some great characters like Jim Jenner, Cameron Stansfield, Gareth Watkins, John Clements, Ghenty, Liam O Comain, and recently Dr Graham Dexter from the wonderful world of performance Birmingham Rollers.
