The Millbridge North Road Federation
The Millbridge north road federation was at Alnwick rugby club on the 25/5/24 and at 10.15 am into a south east wind the birds were liberated on their way.
The top twelve positions in the federation are as follows; leading the way again was the S Speight & Son team flying 114 miles taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd federation their winner a 1y chequer hen being bred by Ross Thackeray being a Gus Jansen of Clive Lister of York crossed Van Loon of Ramsden & Crosby their next arrival a 1y chequer hen of Herman Cuesters and their final a 1y chequer pied cock being a stickers Donkers crossed Gus Jansen again bred by Ross Thackeray these all previously scored in the top half of the federation from Hexham and were flown on the widowhood system with velocities of 1437.365, 1437.023 and 1436.
4th federation was Frank Armitage flying 127 miles with a 1y blue hen doing 1433 being bred and a gift bird from Andy Gill of Castleford and being Gabby Vandenbeale based flown on the roundabout system paired gay to another hen.
5th federation was Ron Kitching flying 115 miles with a 1y blue cock being a Stefan Lambrects being flown on the widowhood system doing 1431.
6th and 9th federation was P & G Cooper flying 116 miles with 2 x Herman Cuester widowhood flown hens doing 1430 and 1390. 7th and 12th federation was the Castello family & Leach flying 118 miles with 2 x roundabout flown Van Den Bulks of the Leach Brothers of Hebdon Bridge crossed the Castello's own strain breed doing velocities of 1401 and 1381.
8th and 10th federation was A Bunting & Son flying 125 miles with 2 x widowhood flown hens of Gabby Vandenbeale were a big help in the running of the lofts is aided by Clive Frudd their velocities were 1391 and 1385.
11th federation was A & B Halstead flying 123 miles with a 1y blue white flight cock ring a Huysken Van Reil crossed Lambrects flown on the roundabout system with a velocity of 1383.
