Combine AGM is Saturday 9th Jan 2016
The AGM of the East Down Combine will be held in the War Memorial hall Crossgar on Saturday January 9th 2016 commencing at 2pm sharp and by now members will have their copies of the Agenda and accounts and it is to be hoped that there will be a large turnout of members at this meeting . This year in addition to the usual items of business and election of officers there are no less than 7 proposed rule changes submitted by the Combines General Committee and these are chiefly to update these rules to take account of the advances in technology and how information is communicated to members.
There are also a number of proposed race programmes up for discussion and these mainly are just variants on the race points available to us.
The accounts show a healthy excess of income over expenditure for the year which is very encouraging as the Combine approaches its 50th year mark ,racing having commenced in 1967. A full report of the meeting will follow as will a loft report on the 2015 EDC Fanciers of the Year Cowan & McCartney.
