NEWTOWNBREDA PARTNERSHIP BEST FROM TALBENNY
Saturday May28th saw the EDC birds in Talbenny (Wales ) for the first cross channel race of 2022 .with a NE wind the 1624 birds were away at 8.30am . Leading the Combine this week it was the Newtownbreda lofts of I & A Cousins & M Albert following on from their 5th & 6th Open the previous week from Mallow.
In a close finish the next two birds were to Ballylesson members with John Patterson, never far from the top, 2nd open closely followed by Alex Crawford and again this week it was West section lofts with the early open birds taking the top 15 places.
At 16th open and winning the East section it was John Trimble of Annalong with his grandson Zac who also took 3rd section with Annsborough’s G & P Brown 2nd section and Bangor’s Burgess & Brennan 4th East section.
