DROMARA HPS PANEL NIGHT & 2012 CHRISTMAS SHOW

Having enjoyed a great season's racing the members of Dromara H.P.S. have had a very enjoyable and profitable early winter season. They kicked off with an evening in The Pheasant, Annahilt, where top English fanciers Brian Sheppard, Dave Boxford and John Norris had a question and answer session with over seventy fanciers from all over Northern Ireland. All aspects of the sport were covered with everyone having their questions answered satisfactorily. There was a ballot and small sale of 2013 young birds which brought in a very much appreciated £1150 for the club. The club would like to thank the panellists for their time, all those who donated prizes and young birds and all those who bought them. The evening also included supper with sausage and bacon baps and plenty of tea and coffee.

A very well supported show season followed with eight shows with over 100 birds in each show, two each won by D & R Topping, T.Marshall & Son, A. Bradley and N.Black & Son. The Christmas show was held on Wednesday 5th of December. One hundred and eight birds were entered and the club would like to thank the judges Leo Bingham, John Conlane, Ronnie Conlane, Joe Galbraith, Bill Gilmore, Nigel Hanna and Billy Seaton for a very generous donation to the club. The members would also like to thank Bobby and Fiona Stevenson for putting a lot of effort into preparing the supper and the wives for making sandwiches etc. A great night was had by all with the prizes well spread out and everyone winning something in the ballot.
