Racing Update

RACING 2016 Firstly, on behalf of the Committee I would like to thank everyone who donated pigeons to the British Barcelona Club’s Annual Young Bird Sale held on Sunday 10 th April. A total of £3,140 was raised on the day with a cash donation of £100 given as well, making a total of £3,240. A total of £3,140 was raised on the day with a cash donation of £100 given as well, making a total of £3,240. All paperwork for those members who have paid, have now been sent out. There are still just under 70 members still to pay, if you have paid but have not as yet received anything please let me know. Subscriptions are £20. Gold Rings are still available at £5 per ring. For all race markings this season, please be aware of all marking times. These must be adhered to, as late arrivals can cause the transporters being late on other pick ups. On a normal Saturday liberation, all clock envelopes after the race must be received by me no later than the Wednesday after the race. As you are aware we have a new Marking Station at The Lion Brewery, Ash, which Mike Armitage has very kindly offered to run to help all members in and around the surrounding area. For every member using this marking station there will be a £5 charge per race payable to Mike Armitage as he has to hire a van to be able to convoy all the marked birds up to Salisbury to meet the transporter. For Barcelona International there will be no Ash or Hungerford Marking Stations, but Bert Shepherd will be running a marking station at Chichester (NFC Marking station) Sidlesham Football Club, Selsey Road, BETWEEN 10AM AND 11AM.
