to the Open Gold Ring Result and the remainder of the total income less deductions will be paid out
per Section on a pro rata basis. Over £1,800 was paid out in 2013.
The Annual Young Bird Sale takes place this year on Sunday 6
April at the Salisbury Livestock
Market. We have nearly 50 pigeons promised so far. If you would like to kindly donate a bird please
let me know. If you are unable to make it to the sale we can always arrange for someone to collect
your pigeon/s and bring them along. Also, commission bids will be taken before the sale, so if
something catches your eye, again please let me know as we can bid on your behalf. A list of birds in
the sale will be advertised nearer the time.
Last year the auction made a record total of over £7,000 all thanks to the members and sponsors of
the B.B.C. it would be great for the Club if we could achieve this again.
The Young Bird Open Race 2014 will be flown on Saturday 13
September from Ancenis (code
5106) Licence number SO/1/14. As you can see from the maps it is situated near Nantes and is more
centralized to the UK for all members and non
members taking part.
The prize money of £1,200 has been guaranteed and will be paid out 1
Open - £400 and £100 to
each of the other Section Winners excluding the Open Section Winner. There is unlimited entry at
£5 per bird. For all members entry forms for the Open Race will be in your handbook, for non
members entry forms will be in the fancy press or available on the B.B.C Website.
The B.B.C Stud birds are now being paired up. Details on pairings and what pigeons are in the Stud
will be shortly on the Website. The price per youngster is £100 and sold on a first come, first serve
basis.
